WESTFIELD — Westfield Community Programming stalwarts Peter Cowles, Ken Stomski and Tina Gorman have been interviewing candidates on the air for the five election cycles. This year was no exception, as they interviewed candidates for City Council to help better inform voters in the Nov. 7 election.
In cooperation with Westfield Community Programming, The Westfield News this week will print some of the questions and answers from the interviews posed to the at-large City Council candidates, adding responses from the candidates who were not available to tape on-air segments. There are 10 candidates running for seven at-large seats. Seven are incumbents, one of whom is currently serving in a ward seat, and three are newcomers to Westfield politics.
Today, candidates introduce themselves, and say why they are running in this election.
