Jalen Hurts returns respect for ‘one of the best coaches’ Bill Belichick

The respect Bill Belichick has for Jalen Hurts is mutual.

The Patriots coach heaped praise on the Eagles quarterback on Wednesday, telling reporters Hurts is “arguably the best player in the league, or one of the top two or three best players in the league. Nobody has anybody that can be him.”

And when Hurts was asked about the future Hall of Fame coaches words, and returned the respect.

“I think he’s arguably one of the best coaches to ever coach this game,” Hurts told reporters. “The consistency he’s been able to have and the production he’s been able to have. Obviously, how he impacts people from afar. I have a lot of respect for that. Nice words from him.”

Much like Eagles coach Nick Sirianni, Hurts will play against the Patriots for the first time in his career. The QB didn’t play in 2021 when Philly and New England played during the preseason.
