Bradley Beal is headed West to form a star-studded roster with the Suns after the Wizards agreed to a trade, according to multiple reports. The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the deal is Beal to the Suns while Chris Paul, Landry Shamet and multiple second-round picks are headed to the Wizards.
Beal first entered the trade market last week as the Wizards’ new front office is looking to hit reset on the roster. With Beal just finishing up the first season of his five-year supermax deal, they were looking to move the talented scorer. But that would prove tricky as Beal had a full no-trade clause as part of his contract, so he could effectively pick his next landing spot.

The Suns now have a stacked roster that features Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. How they fill out the rest of their roster for depth remains to be seen, though. The Wizards on the other hand get to rebuild and get some salary relief.
The Celtics get a positive in that they won’t have to face Beal until the NBA Finals in the playoffs, if both teams make it that far. The Heat were the other reported finalist for Beal, but the Suns won out in the end. That’s a positive for the C’s as Beal won’t be in the East playoff picture going forward.
