3 Boston hotels rank within the top 50 best in the country, U.S. News says

Looking to stay at a top hotel in the state? You might want to head to Boston.

Three Boston hotels have placed in the top 50 of the best hotels across the country, according to a list from U.S. News & World Report.

The outlet evaluated more than 35,000 luxury hotels and resorts across the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean to compile its rankings. The list is based “on an analysis of industry awards, hotel star ratings and user ratings.”

Placing in the 16th spot overall is the first Boston hotel to appear on the overall list. The Four Seasons Hotel Boston was also ranked first in “best Boston hotels” and first in “best Massachusetts hotels,” according to U.S. News. It also has four critic awards, including “Condé Nast Readers’ Choice List 2022.”

At the Four Seasons, “hotel guests can take advantage of numerous facilities, including an entire wellness floor with a fitness center, a spa and an indoor lap pool enclosed by floor-to-ceiling windows. While you could spend your entire visit on this floor, you should save time for a meal at the hotel’s critically acclaimed Japanese restaurant, Zuma. Later, head over to the property’s stylish cocktail lounge, Trifecta, for a drink before bedding down in one of the hotel’s well-appointed guest rooms,” the website wrote.

The Boston Harbor Hotel ranked 21st on the overall list, complete with five critic awards.

“The lobby is decked out in marble and vintage chandeliers, while guest rooms overlook the city’s beloved harbor. Accommodations feature flat-screen smart TVs, complimentary internet access, Nespresso coffee machines and rainfall showers. However, what keeps guests coming back to this impressive (albeit pricey) hotel is the friendliness of its staff,” U.S. News said about the hotel.

The hotel also offers pets, free Wi-Fi, restaurants, a pool and a business center.

Rounding out the hotels that placed within the top 50 best in the country is The Langham, Boston. The hotel placed 29th overall.

The website notes the hotel is a good choice for sightseers.

“Stay here and you’ll be just a short walk from both the Boston Children’s Museum and the New England Aquarium – a major selling point for families. Plus, historic attractions like Faneuil Hall are also easily accessible,” U.S. News said.

The Langham also offers a business center, pools, free Wi-Fi and restaurants.

The overall best hotel in the country title was given to Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.
