A man is wanted for questioning after a 60-year-old woman was shot in her abdomen while aboard an MBTA bus Friday evening, news outlets reported.
Authorities responded to the shooting outside of Andrew Station in South Boston around 5:22 p.m., Officer Kim Tavares, a spokesperson for the Boston Police Department, told MassLive. The woman was shot on a bus near the station’s busway off Dorchester Avenue, WCVB reported.
The woman was conscious and alert after she was shot, MBTA Transit Police told WCVB. Authorities said they are investigating the shooting, which may have been accidental, according to the news outlet.
