In late October my wife, Cris, and I traveled to Churchill, Manitoba, Canada, for a week to see the polar bears in their native habitat. It was a great trip. Churchill is a real “frontier village.” From the village we traveled by Rover over the tundra to the shores of Hudson Bay. The bears congregate there as winter arrives and the ice forms. Occasionally the “teenage” bears come into town and have to be encouraged to go back out on the tundra and shore of the bay. All in all, a very entertaining and educational trip.
