The United State Postal Service is not open on Thanksgiving, which means customers will have to wait to mail all packages.
USPS observes 11 holidays throughout the year, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, Juneteenth and Veterans Day.
This also means delivery will be delayed. Delivery will resume as normal on Friday.
The next holiday USPS will observe is Christmas day. However, because Christmas is on a Sunday and the post office is already closed, it will observe the holiday on Monday, Dec. 26.
“If a holiday falls on a Sunday, for most USPS employees, the following Monday will be treated as a holiday for pay and leave purposes,” USPS’ website states.
Delivery will resume as normal Dec. 27.
