Broadway Week Returns! 21 participating plays and musicals will offer “twofers” (half-priced tickets) on performances Sept. 6-25 on Broadway. “Mean Girls,” the hit Broadway musical based on the film of the same name, opens the Bushnell’s new Broadway season, with performances Sept 27 to Oct. 2. “Mean Girls” features a book by nine-time Emmy Award winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the film, music by three-time Emmy Award winner Jeff Richmond (“30 Rock”); and lyrics by two-time Tony Award nominee Nell Benjamin (“Legally Blonde”). Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw (“The Book of Mormon”) directs and choreographs. The musical also plays Worcester’s Hanover Center for the Performing Arts, Oct. 11-16.
